New CD RECOLLECTIONS

It's Mary Christmas madness!!
Mary Hopkin's new CD has been released they didn't think that the new album, 'Recollections', was enough. as it's been far too long since 'Snowed Under' was released in Christmas 2006 as a download only, and even longer since 'Mary Had a Baby' and 'Cherry Tree Carol' were released on vinyl in 1972.
So they thought they'd put them all onto one CD and release the 'Christmas Songs' EP for 2008! They have been lovingly and digitally remixed and remastered at Space Studios just for us! available via MHM http://www.maryhopkin.co.uk/

LIVE AT THE ROYAL FESTIVAL HALL

A long-awaited release from Mary Hopkin. In May, 1972, Mary played what was to be her last concert for years. Saying goodbye to the music business which had catapulted her into worldwide fame barely three years before, she sings some of her best songs including Earth Song and Ocean Song, Those Were the Days and some of the folk classics that inspired her early career. Accompanied by Danny Thompson (Pentangle) and Brian Willoughby (later of The Strawbs), as well as her then husband Tony Visconti and the Pop Arts String Quartet, this is an intimate concert which captures Mary at her best.

About Mary Hopkin

The fact that she was spotted and reached stardom at the age of 18 via the Beatles Apple Company was 'luck', but the reason why she is remembered 30 years after her phenomenal chart success by so many people throughout the world is 'talent'. Who knows what she might have done musically or what different direction she may have taken with her career if the Apple Launch had not happened, we will never know. She says she is happy and contented with the projects and recordings she is doing now and I wish her well.
